Poetry: Friendship & Soulmates
Do You Feel the Love?
by Chelsey Brown

You sit with your friends
And they tell you they care
Through thick and thin they'll always be there
They share their advice
You listen carefully but say
Don't worry about me I'll be ok
Then you sit with your love
And you bicker and fight
But after it's all over you tell yourself I'll be alright
Then the fights get deeper
And you ask him how he could say what he said
And you wonder what's really going on in his head
Things go bad and your heart gets broken
Your friends again are there
And again they tell you they care
Your friends never pass any judgment
They never say get out just go
Or say I told you so
No matter how bad things get
That's what friends are for
They stay there no matter what and never close the door

Do you feel the true love?
