I Want to Write A Love Song
by Caryl
I want to write a love song
not about scandelous sex or who's wearing thongs
I want to write about love and how it makes you feel
from the tip of your nose to the bottom of your heel
I want to write about endless love
like unconditional love...like soaring white doves like...
Like a baby's love as it suckles milk from it mother's breast...Or like a mother's love when sticky fingers ruin her best dress...Or how about grandma's love when her kitchen becomes a cookie dough mess
I want to write a love song
I want to write about endless nights
and making up after stormy fights
I want to write about passionate kisses shared in between washing last night's dirty dishes
I want to write about you and me...and me...and you and how our love has kept us together like Elmer's Glue...I want to write a love song....to you
