Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
Wot does it matr nemore
by Inez Majendie

Would it matter 2you if never again were you2see my face?
Did the vision never wait4you behind closed eyes, like yours did mine? Yours will linger on still2haunt me with pain,
and the drumming agony of my heart will remain,
till my soul is scared in2a solitude where no nurture
will dare reach.

As the black velvet of this night wraps my sorrow,
I greet lonliness once more.
In good faith I place my misery in her form,
she is my dedicated companion,
she will hold & rock me tightly long after your arms are gone.
Now as despair consumes me,
I feel the tears bite & threaten to show my weakness & misery to the night.
I long for the rain to fall and hide them,
won't someone share and mourn my agony?

I wonder as i walk from my crumpled heart
who would miss me if i was to depart.
If noone was to miss this face,
there is no point in bearin more pain in this desolate place.
And now that I can never again love nor trust,
I can not bear to waste these sands of time on lies and lust.
So I will ask lonliness to lull me away to a peace
this World cannot offer
nor comprehend,
18 years has shown me enough pain and it is all i wish to spend.
For me, our love is timeless and in my absence it will extend
