Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
The Silent Star
by Jonathan Novak

Tonight this crimson sunset
Does not comfort my troubled soul.
I can't stop thinking of you.
I am the lonesome star

And when I've died,
And you come to this grassy gnoll,
Cry your beautiful tears.
I am your saving star.

But do not fear,
I said it before,
I will always love you.
You are the lonely star.

Take the hand of the ghostly star,
He means you no harm.
Take his speechless hand,
I am the silent star.

If only the world was the
Same to us all, but it's not.
Dig in your heart, I'm sure I'm there
I am the loveless star.

Gaze into the firy sky
Watch the stars appear with God.
I have forsaken my spot there with him,
To be with you this trying night.
You are the loved star.

My love is told, you know my feelings.
And you scorn them.
But i will always be here, watching silently,
I am the silent star

Tommorow will come, I will wake again,
To this void of thought.
My mind is still, my heart is gone.
This life of mine is a play,
A show for you.
