Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
A Tall Glas of Deadly
by shelby sweet

Driving impiared down the freeway,
Nothing in my vocab today not even the word care,
Nothing but the poluted winds dancing upon my hair.
The yellow lines flash before me, as i focus on things to come,
The darkening skies are approaching fast, same with that big red sign only one.
The lines get faster and faster, my world starts spinning round
It takes only one blink of an eye and two lover's worlds start spinning round.
Two worlds collide crashing side by side,
Laying there without a care in the world
Her hands are fleshy growing cold.
The centre of her crossroads is now her resting place
As her boyfriend has no clue what happened, memories gone without a trace.
Sitting in his parents car knowing he's gone to far
Silence takes over there's nothing to say
The wind passes through you on that unforgettable day
6 feet under the ground doesn't lie
Today is the day that her spirit will fly.
Kneeling by her side he starts to cry tears of regret,
And i'm willing to bet that he'll never forget when he killied his future bride.
