Remembering

Remembering, by H. Bruce Hennings
Does your laughter, echo,
From clouds in heaven,
As it did against the feather pillows,
Propped upon the headboard,
As you blew smoke rings into the still of the summer air?
Does your smile , brighten ,
The angels faces,
As it made my life shine,
Each time you looked my way,
Sending shivers through every sinew of my soul.
Do your tears, fall ,
From the sky, in a summer storm,
Washing away my fears,
Giving hope for a new tomorrow,
Brining back memories of joy from every touch.
Do your eyes , see ,
From so far above,
That I miss you more than life itself,
Praying that we will meet once more,
Embracing for more than just an eternity.
Does your heart, beat ,
As swiftly as mine,
Whenever your memory fills my very being.
Wishing you would hold me for an instant,
If only once again to warm my need for you.
Do you feel , anger ,
As I , for losing you,
To something so small, so cruel,
Yet so powerful, to separate our very special love.
Do your wings , tremble ,
Like my hands, when we caressed in the night,
Exploring you for the first time,
As you became my one and only world.
Do you know , my love ,
That nothing can take away your beautiful memory,
That I miss you with all of my heart and soul,
And , I will,
Always,
Always,
Love you........
