Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
Tears From A Broken Heart
by Angel_lily

The tears from a broken heart,
are the worst tears there is.
Everything makes the tears flow,
they pour out like rain.

But you can't get tears,
from a heart that doesn't cry.
A heart that has cried so much,
it has no more tears to cry.

You only get blood from this heart,
that runs red from beneath the knife.
That pierces deep through it,
as it twists and turns inside.

After many wounds,
the heart stops bleeding.
And gets strong and tough,
breaks the blade before the blood runs.

Then the tears stop,
you feel the healing start.
You know where you belong,
who belongs with you.

Then comes the waiting,
you know the pain in the heart.
You have seen and felt it,
as much as I have.

You know what the does,
you have caused the blood to run.
You have felt the blood,
run and not stop.

But have you felt the tears,
that run faster and faster.
Have you cried till there are no more tears,
have you cried in silence as the blood pours?

Maybe when you feel the tears,
you know where the healing is.
Where you need to be,
who belongs beside you.

Let me know,
when this happens.
I won't hold my breath,
For it will be my last.
