Sorrows of a Broken Heart
by Spencer White
this food I have in front,
it has no taste that I can sense.
my vision blurs, filling with pain,
the waves of despair begin to envelope me,
and I can hardly breathe in my loneliness.
the sorrows of a broken heart,
how unfortunate, how sad,
but how often, how common,
these are to the lives of men such as I.
