Lost Soul
by Peggy
You winked at me,
I smiled shyly back,
You walked up to me,
My heart pounded to come out,
But you reached for my soul,
The gates of my soul opened in your command,
You took my soul and kissed it,
I shivered with desire,
You smile,
I reached out for your soul too,
But in an instant the gates snap shut leaving me in the cold,
I freeze in shock,
You smile again, but it wasn't kind
And I watched as you dropped my fragile soul shattering it like a million shards of ice.
Now I walk the earth, collecting the pieces,
Empty in the soul, my body is a burden for we all know the heart is not complete without the soul.
