Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
I am all but one.....
by Johnny Pry

You know, it's been 2 years plus,
and even though I don't miss you,
how you hurt me, has crippled my trust.
You made my heart ache, and my feelings blue,
do I hate you, I don't know.
Tearing me down brick by brick you did do,
I don't know if I'll ever love or trust thanks to you.
Forever I'll wonder, if I'll ever love so...
I've lost all confidence in my self,
looking and thinking is all I do.
Never talking or acting, not to be seen,
I am all but one, not to be two.
Oh how I long to go on with my life,
wanting to move forward and not look back,
stinking with self pity, and no confidence is rife,
I will go step by step, I will walk, and will not slack,
thanks to you, I am glad,
I am a better person, filling up with pride,
I am no longer angry and sad,
smiling ear to ear, I will not hide.
