Unreality

The beauty of life passed by in front of my eyes
darkness now overshadows life
the beauty that I always see
is now fading constantly
what’s left is a glimmer
a million miles afar
it almost seems like a star
in the night after day
how can I find my way back
to the reality that was
hope is what I have left
that your heart will find peace
and acceptance once again
feelings of regret and sorrow
will there still be tomorrow
time can only heal
time can only tell
but until then I dream
of a world
of an unreality
that is yet to be.
