Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
A silent night the deepest blue
by robert lakow

I long for you, my lover,
my friend
Thinking thoughts that have no end
Missing you
This can't be real
Your distant touch I can not feel

What have we done
What can I do
A silent night the deepest blue.

Watching stars throughout the night
Dreading darkness, Dreading light
Lost,
Alone,
The city sleeps
My thoughts of you, my wounds so deep

What have we done
What can I do
A silent night the deepest blue

If all we are is dust from stars
And thoughts of love seem just as far
Then night will shine her wicked smile
A canopy of pain so vile
(over and over and over again........)

What have we done
What can I do
A silent night the deepest blue

Where have you gone
my love
