Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
monument
by kelly fairchild

Pathetic Monuments of Chaotic Dreams, ripping and tearing my mind at the seams.

As life builds these memories, they feel made of stone. Deep in my heart, I'm cold and alone.

Too Weak to withstand them, too scared to beg please, So full of saddness, I fall to my knees.

Suddenly I feel I've just hit a wall, You reach out your hand, the nightmares crumble and fall.

Where tears once fell from Confusion and unbearable Pain, Now flow from happiness. I feel loved again.
