Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
Dark Hallowed Hallways
by Cliff Lawrence

Dark Hallowed Hallways

Dark hallowed hallways of fallen dreams,
Dim lite stairway circling round and round,
Empty echoes of silent voices in void hang.

Demon's from pit's fires grasping time,
Fleeting moment of lifetime relived,
Ashes of burnt flesh stinch remains behind.

Dying embers smolder in winds ravage rage,
Shutters clash as doors slam dreams tendacy,
Rotting remains of tomorrow's yesterdays.

Dark hallowed hallways of fallen dreams,
Circling stairway going round and round,
Empty echoes of silent voices void hang.

Fallen dreams of tomorrows yesterdays fade,
Smoldering embers of burnt souls cry out,
Broken promises of love dying in dreams rage.

No more tomorrows remain in volient rapture,
Ashes of burnt flesh stinch remains behind,
Ravishing winds rage tossing egos aside.

Fallen dreams of loves heavenly desires die,
Dark hallowed hallways fading with yesterday,
Circling stairway of tomorrow leads nowhere.

Deaths doorway embracing rejected loves torture,
Dim lite dungeon of demon's grasping reality,
Broken promises of dreams fallen grace dies.
