Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
jenipooh
by don clark

For I have seen heaven and it’s name is Jenifer,
For her does my soul stir.

Those eye, that smile, the beautiful hair.
Her skin so fair, Lips like wine,
but now all I can do is stair.

Other men look to her with lust,
They want her but do they really care?

Ties not one woman that can compare.
To my Jenipooh oh so fair.

For love is all I see as my hart beats through my chest
I long for thee and I will do my best.

My boys they love her, so odd and rare,
For life with her they want to share.

Each day I think of all I’ve done wrong
For her love I’ve waited so long.

But now friends is all well be,
Thanks to a monster called jealously.
Jenipooh, Jenipooh this I plea,
Come home and be with me.
Happy is she so wild and free,
One day I pray she’ll wake up and marry me.

To Jenifer Bond 10/19/2005
6 months after we came alive.
