Hurt As Well As Mad: Cyber-Treachery

Hurt As Well As Mad: Cyber-Treachery

All I wanted was an apology
I searched my e-mails several times day and night for one
I can understand everything
Except your not knowing what you did
You left all three of us wounded
I'm just the first in intensive care
You both will follow...

I can understand your impulsive need to try someone new
But I can't understand why you can't just say you're sorry....and tell me what you've done to me...

You know all the minor rules, like not wearing white after Labor Day
But you don't know the important rules like not flirting with your lover's best friend,
Especially sight unseen, another e-mail romance.

Long after you turn away from my friend,
You will leave both of us in your wake, all three of us injured and enemies.
