Toy
by Courtney A Wilson
A child's toy has no choice
In what they're going to play.
But rather they are forced in pain
By the child, stronger than they.
The toy is mocked and ridiculed
Throughout the child's joy
Being used and pushed around
I'm relating to the toy.
You have bought my package
To use me how you please
You laugh when I'm in torment
As i beg upon my knees.
You twist my arm and break my heart
When recklessly you play
I continue on in misery
With no voice and nothing to say.
You've done all you could with me
Ruined pieces you cant replace
To fix me or find another
Is the decision that you face.
So now you play with her
And she reminds me of myself
As i sit lonely and heartbroken
Forgotten on a shelf.
