Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
You and the Next
by Nakisha Charlemagne

He doesn't love you, he loves someone else.
How come every time we're together I end up by myself.
I can't believe you left forever.
I guess we were not meant to be together.
How come we're not so close like you and the next.
Is her kisses as good as the ones we shared
guess not cause to me her love can't compare.
You said I was a dime,
guess to you I'm a sour piece of lime.
But that's ok I will go on.
Every things for the better.
I will be strong.
Thought it would last,
guess not anyways,
you were the past.
Hope you enjoy her
everyone does
but still I love you just because.
