Life seemed so perfect when I met you,
when we looked into each others eyes we just knew.

The love we shared was once so cherished,
but now it has withered away and perished.

I never thought that day would come,
when you would look at me and say I wasn't the one.

As you walked away, I thought about the past 3 years,
and the only thing I can remember is all the tears.

I waited for you to walk back through that door,
but my heart is so empty I cant wait any more.

I thought you would be there for me until the end,
but I now realize it is my own heart I will have to mend.
