Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
I used to love him
by Ryon Moore

Never. Never will I forget the day we met
The day I caught a glimpse at those dark brown eyes
I'll always remember the way he smiled at me
We had a bond, an automatic connection.
Chemistry. We had it all.
Our friendship was solid. It was strong
It had so much behind it, under the surface.
We could depend on each other. We had fun.
I could never get enough of him.
He had me feel as if I was floating, on cloud nine
Eventually feelings developed and I cared for him more then ever.
He was my heart. My joy. And most of all, my friend.
That was 3 years ago and he's still here.
Making me smile, always by my side, and I'm growing closer to him as each day goes by.
I used to love and I still do
