What do I have to do
by Stephanie Reposa

Pull up a seat ‘cause I have a few things to ask you...

If there was a problem, would you tell me?
Do I have to buy you stuff and give you things for to talk to me?
Do I have to do something stupid or funny for you to see me?
Do I have to change everything just so that you would realize I'm here?
Why is it that every time I'm around you I feel like I'm not good enough?

Why is whatever I do never right?
Do I have to play sports to prove that I'm not just a joke?
Do I have to listen to different music just to make small talk?
What do I have to do to fit in with you and your buddies?
Do you know that I can't tell you how I feel because I'm not good with words?

Did you realize that I love you but never got the courage to tell you?
Why does it feel like I'm stuck in quicksand and can't get out to see you?
Why can't you just open your eyes and see what you have and not what you lost?
Do I have to travel to the edge of the world to tell you how much I care about you?

Why is it that I can't get you off my mind?
Why is it that I can't live without you?
Did you know that when you went away you took my heart with you?
Would it kill you for you to just care a little?
Do you even care that I'm writing a poem about you?

Why is it taking you so long to realize I'm here?
Can you just tell me what' going on?
Why's it talking you so long to answer?
Can you please talk to me and let me know what's going on?
