Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
Broken Heart
by Lauren

I can't get you off my mind at all
Who will be there to catch me when I fall?
I could have sworn I said I love you a millions times,
But I guess that isn't enough to still make you mine.
Did you really mean it when you said it back?
I don't think so; I know that for a fact
You kept me warm when I was cold
You broke my heart now I'm chilled to the bone.
I wrote you notes during class
I said write back, but I guess you're not as sharp as a piece of glass.
I love you; I hate you I can't live alone
So answer me this, why didn't you ever call me on the phone?

You ripped me and tore me apart
Now all is left is a Broken Heart
