Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
Fragile Heart
by Molly

Kisses after midnight,
Left me with the sun,
Toiling in the heated day,
Alone without any one.

Laughter through the daybreak,
Had jolted an inner prayer,
Now the only jolting,
Was through golden locks of severed hair.

Pleasure throughout the evening,
Inset in silkened sheets,
Now unraveling slowly,
With the heart left out of beat.

Love throughout a lifetime,
Shortened by lovers part,
Only to leave me stranded,
Alone with a fragile heart.
