I Smile

When you look at me like I rule your world,
I smile.
When you sing like a bird and laugh like a child,
I smile.
When you take the time to make your day like mine,
I smile.
When you meet me for lunch at a quiet place,
I smile.
When you tell me that you still love me,
I smile.
When you say that this is really hard to say,
I smile.
When you say it's over and I don't want to see you anymore,
A tear falls from my eye and onto my lips
Which are still smiling,
Still dreaming.
