Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
Wandering the Desert
by Anna Mull

Wandering the desert
Filled with lives lonely dreams
Everything feels empty
And nothing's as it seems
I look around me
See nothing but emptiness
Hear nothing but silence
Feel nothing but pain.
Your love quenched my thirst
Made me want to go on
What's the point in trying
When your love has gone
I walk slowly along
And I wait to die
Theres nothing to live for
So this is goodbye
I wonder if you find me
Lying dead in the sand
Would you shed a tear for me
As you held my lifeless hand.
