Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
we
by Linnaya

Once upon a time, was all I had
Until you found me waiting here

A life of fantasies in my mind
Until your smile made it real.

I used to ponder if I would ever see...
That Picket fence, around a house on the hill.

Once upon a time, it was all a dream,
But now time is standing still.

As you and I sit, calmly perched,
at the edge of reality's wake.

I realize I could ask for no more than this,
no desire could be more slaked.

As our dream worlds slowly collide,
The simple completeness, completely fills me.

And my life becomes a chorus in harmony's song,
with God's creation of "we".
