Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
The novel of You and I
by Chris

The times we've spent together play over and over in my mind.
It's like a story out of the movies... Everytime I look at you I fall in love again.
Your mine...I'm yours. My heart and everything in between belongs to no one else.
One look into my eyes, and you tell me you love me. Another day of ecstasy.
Another chapter written for the novel of "You and I".

Your my best friend in the whole wide world, my one true source of comfort.
How much love is too much? I haven't found my peak yet.
Lying together is something like Heaven, or that's how I hope it'll be.
The sound of your breathing, reactions I get every now and then...
My mind is a jumble of strong signals. All pointing towards you.

I smoke, I drink, I'm over the top cautious. You just don't seem to mind.
Saints are losers and we both agree. Where's the fun?
You know for a fact that I love you whether I'm stable or I'm not.
But even when were both upset I can always count on you.
Those three words simply express it. But you show it even so.

Another day...another time. It's memories like this I'll always remember.
Nothing is forever and time only makes it so much clearer.
But time is just that. Time. Many things change. People too.
One thing will never change. And that's what I feel for you.
Another chapter written for the novel of "You and I".
