Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
tearful reality
by Chawndelle Adams

When the moon hits your eyes you feel heartbroken wondering why, why the days come and go but lifes pace seems so slow.So when does this life seem fulfilled, remembering all of those memories you've tried to kill. To wash away those tears that have been shed, thinking about every word i could have said. You seemed so far away even when you were right near. You held my hand even when the skies wern't clear. You kept a smile on my face even when i was down, you kept my dreams a reality and made me feel so very proud. So look into these eyes and tell me what you see, a heartbroken girl who longs to be free. Take a look at the moon as it hits your eyes tonight and think of me wanting to hold you close and tight.
