Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
My Mother
by Jennifer Paradis

You were my mother
I was your daughter
When I first opened my small beady eyes i saw you
As I grew,We played together
But then you found out
That you were with Cancer
So everyday I came to visit you
I was just 2
On January 18
That you were chosen from god
So here I am without a mother
