Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
Uncontrollable
by Mere

There's an unspoken rule between you and me.
That friends, we are, and ever will be.
But what am I to do when you touch my face;
When you circle your strong arms 'round my little waist?
I can't stop what I feel, when I look in your eyes;
So full of laughter and yet strangely wise…
Yes I love you, it's true,
But as more than just friends.
I love you for you, beginning to end,
From tousled dark hair, to puppy dog eyes,
From freckles and muscles to belly and thighs.
Your nose, which you hate,
I just love, can't you see?
Though you claim you have faults,
You are perfect to me.
