Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
Not Quit A Shadow
by Willie Norton

Somtimes in the window of my inner soul
I see you
Your face
Your eye's
Smilling into mine

I see the green vally's where we made love
When we were young
When we laughed toghether
When we cried
In each others arms

I see the blue skys of our passion behind you
As I look even closer
I see the lines
Barely visable
The fractures
That niether of us
Could see

As that window begins to close
A Bluebird lands
On the window sill
Singing a soft song
I watch as your face
Slowly turns to sadness
And a tear falls from
Your eye's

Then the vision is gone
The room is empty
I am alone...except for....
The echo of that bluebirds song
And a memory that refuses
To fade
