Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
Dazed and Confused
by Mary Nichole Adams

As I lay her gazing,
Into a world of the unknown,
I wonder what is ever to come.
My mind keeps recreating,
The life I used to know.
When everything seemed perfect,
My eyes even had a glow.
Now as dark surrounds me,
I tear through anger and pain.
The confusion in my heart,
With just the sound of your name.
As tears roll down my cheek,
I try to hide the hurt.
But through all the broken dreams,
Our love just didn't work.
