Poetry: Heartbreak & Healing
Hurt
by Jeni

You’ve torn me open sewn me shut
The pain for me it’s just too much.
I’ve learned to move on you don’t control me
I know you’ll hate it you’ll prolly hate me.
I’ve moved on now and you’re just a memory
I’ve also learned that at times I’m too blind to see.
Your just another face in the crowds
I look up into those thoughtful clouds.
I dream of you and I don’t know why
I think it’s because you’ve made me cry.
Every now and then I remember your face
Sometimes I even fall out of place.
Thinking of you reminds me of
The time you were my true love.
Hearing your name sometimes is just too much
Reminding me when you
Tore me open just to sew me shut.
