Poetry: Unrequited Love
Inside Out
by Alessandra

A swollen fist beats the eye,
The pressured tear finally subsides;
The taunting virtues of my life,
Continue to dwindle with one stab of the knife.

I wait for time, when time never stalls,
Failing to see the tempest that falls
The rain that shatters my desiccated curls,
Where frizz ignites and chaos prevails
