Poetry: Unrequited Love
Tupperware Moon
by Ileana Henry

Tupperware Moon

I stare up at the hollow moon
And wonder if I'm like that too
A little Tupperware girl who
Was waiting to be filled by you
The dice were tossed
My heart was lost
But yours belonged to her
I turned my eyes
To bluer skies
And saw him standing there
I looked to him
You fell to her
The story's at an end
You turn to me
And say "Maybe
We should just be friends"
I stare up at the hollow moon
And wonder if I'm like that too
A little Tupperware girl who
Never had enough of you.
