Poetry: Unrequited Love
raindrops
by LIsa

Tonight
watching raindrops fall
upon the window of our room
only reminds me
of all the tears
I hold inside
of all the times
I miss your arms around me.
The unspoken moments
shared with you,
I can memorize your skin
next to mine
holding onto every breath you take.
And
after all the longing for you
I have run out of places to hide
my love for you.
The trappings that hold you from me
do not matter in my heart or
in my soul
Your courage no longer gives me hope
to be with you one day.
All my heart understands is the emptiness
it feels without you here with me.
Time becomes my worst enemy,
and there is no sense in this world
without you.
