Poetry: Unrequited Love
How Much I Still Love You
by Nikki

we're talking more and things seem fine
but if you want the truth in the back of my mind
your the hope that keeps me alive
and the thought's that keep me up at night
i'm scared to tell you whats going on
i'm scared that you might move along
leave me here alone to die
and never return for the whole of my life
but if you promise to stay and won't be afraid
i'll take a deep breath, and finally say.
i'll read you a poem that means so much to me
i'll tell you to times that by one million three
then add one more hundred, or thousand or more
then divide that by two, or three or four
add it all together and guess what you get
how many hours i'll never forget
you sweet voice at night, saying what I wanna hear
your harsh, hurtful words, bringing all the tears
your perfect, pretty smile, your smooth hazel eyes
your words of pure truth, all of your ugly lies
your honey-like skin, and how warm it is
how perfect you are, and our only one kiss.
and here it comes again, those three sacred words
can you guess what? the three best in the world
so i'll say it right now, right out. i love you
and now can I please hear, I love you too?
