Poetry: Unrequited Love
Help Me
by Emily

You look at me as though you love me,
yet speak as though you don't.
Don't play games with me.
My head can't figure you out.
My heart can't let you go.
I don't claim to love you,
I don't claim to care,
but my heart knows longing,
my body knows aching.
Longing, aching to have you hold me.
Could that be all you are?
A comfort blanket?
No.
There is more to you the that
Your not what i need,
possibly not what i want,
but you're here now,
just out of my reach.
Take one step closer.
Take my hand.
Be mine and let me be yours.
Help me figure this out.
Do you love me?
Do you care?
Stop the games
Help me
