Poetry: Unrequited Love
Goodbye
by Letha Ferguson

With every good thing you brought into my life
Promising one day that I'll be your wife
You'll never leave me is what you said
Now I'm here in this big bed
At night calling out only your name
Wanting and needing you
For your departure whom do I blame?

Fate had nothing to do with this
Being without you what a dreadful bliss
My pride is gone, but my strength has grown
Breaking my heart and leaving me all alone

Do I want you back, yes my love
But, I know you are with the Master above
Sometimes you don't understand peace of mind and then you sigh
Now, this is the END, I must say Goodbye....
