Poetry: Unrequited Love
Lost and Alone
by Spike M.

You told me that you loved me
You said you always would
But with your love came a fee
Of which I paid all that could
I stood at your side devotedly
I was there thru thick and thin
I was always there faithfully
For you I even committed sin
I took your words for honesty
And helped you hide your lies
But in the end it was me
That got the big surprise
You never really meant it
When you said that you loved me
And now you have your little fit
And your deception I now see
Now go on about your daily way
In your life I will not be
But somewhere, sometime, someday
You will see the one that was there for you was me
