Poetry: Unrequited Love
What am I to you?
by Lee

I thought I would never see you again
How stupid could I be
To think that you could settle with me
But it was you that was afraid to take a chance
You were so charming
So captivating
The way your smile consumed the room
Your touch of my hair blowing in my face
The way we talked for hours
How could this be that I would never see you again
Then I see you three months later
What a shock
What a relief
I have thought about you all day
Wondering If you ever thought about me
But you failed to mention her
To my suprise
I know she is not good for you
But you still hold on waiting
Waiting for what
Why did i have to know
Why did i have to see you again
To only hurt what I feel for you
What I long for you to feel for me once more
To just see you again
