A Songwriters dream

A Songwriters dream, it seemed.
Lying in bed half asleep, and
In it streamed. A song that was
Perfect in key, with whispered lyrics.
He jumped up, ripped out wrinkled paper
And wrote.
But it was never quite the same.
Some songs are only good for hearing
One time. They float in and out quickly
And never again seem to rhyme.
But that's a Songwriter's dream.
