Poetry: Unrequited Love
I Wish
by Levin Tull

I wish i could have you, but i'm not good enough.
I try so hard, but you turn me away.
To get thriugh your barrier of emotion is so tough
I can't stop thinking about what i'd say-
what i'd say if i had the chance to woo you.
If i could hold you in my arms just once.
But the way you feel is true to you too,
and it always make me feel like a dunce.
I'd say you had the most beautiful eyes
that anyone on earth had ever seen.
i'd helpyou you get out of any demise
and make sure that you know how they gleam.
just how they enchant me is a mystery
that one day I'd like to explore.
but i want , with you, to make history
i've begged and pleaded. tell me I implore!
why must i feel so very distressed
about you leaving me behind?
for, you see, i'm getting depressed
and i can't seem to get you out of my mind.
with hazel brown eyes, and sleek, shining black hair
i want to tell you i love you.
but you've always rejected me before i got there
and for once, i can't go above you.
so stay back and hurt me no longer.
i just can't take it anymore.
but i still wish
