Poetry: Unrequited Love
Tears that are falling down my face
by Alice Fulfer

Sometimes love connects in different races
You can't help who you fall for
In life you take chances
You have to figure out which ones to take
And hope it's not a mistake
Don't listen to what people say
Then you'll be going there way
If you do then one day you'll see you should of gone your own way
They pick at you because my sizeand race
Who are they to tell you what is your pace
They say I am ugly and to skinny
That is why they have looked at me funny
It's not how big or tall you are it is what is inside that counts
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
They will never know me like you know me
So when you told me about what they think of me
It hurt me but the way I am that don't weaken my thoughts of my self it strengthen my self image
They are just mad because they can't be us
Our love is strong
What they say is wrong
But if it makes you happy we will stop what we have
Just remember the wisdom and respect that I gave you
As I watch you go the hurt begins to grow and my true feelings show our was lost from the cost of this cruel and racist world
That is why I have....
Tears that are falling down my face.
