Poetry: Unrequited Love
From The Time You’ve Been Gone
Janna

I can’t help but wonder if I ever cross your mind.
Do you ever think about me at night when you’re alone looking at the stars?
Or when you’re riding by yourself in your car with no ones hand to hold.
As you lie solitaire in your bed with no one to hold
Do you ever wake up reaching out for me?
I miss you so much.
Do you hear my voice in the wind Do you turn around to see if I’m here?
Is the loneliness heartache when you find I’m not there?
Is the solitude anguish as you cry yourself to sleep?
Do the tears fall down your cheek?
I miss you; I wish you’d come back.
I guess I just want to know
While we’re apart do I ever cross your mind?
Because you’re all I’ve ever though about since you left.
