Whispers of the Night

The first night you laid me down, your first Whisper in the midsummer’s air.
"I just want to hold you, you held me without compare."

I believed as you Whispered, "This is where I belong,"
You held me close, you’ll never be alone.

We had never loved, we had never wanted before.
Your heart Whispered softly, "With all my soul for evermore."

After many nights, your Whispers became silent, I thought lies or needing time?
I never heard the Whisper, Goodbye.

You touched my heart, then left in silence. A Whisper is what I longed to hear,
"My love for you, will always be near."

You looked into my eyes, with a Whisper, with a touch.
Your heart would tell me, "I love you so much."

With all my heart, I held on, your Whispers sounded the same,
"I’ll always love you, and never cause anymore pain."

With all my heart, I loved you, but in an instant, you were gone
Here my Whisper now, " You still have our home."

You held me close, mending torn pieces of my heart
With a Whisper, you said "We will never part"

Your Whispers became far and few.
I felt you running, slipping, and then I knew.

So I held you so close, while pushing you away
I didn’t want to lose you, but I was afraid

Then I felt your fear, pain and despair.
Decisions confusing your troubled mind, would I dare?

Yes, this Whisper I will say, "Look into my heart and hear,
All those feelings, I to, did hold near."

But you held my heart to ease my pain. Opened my eyes when they where shut,
"With all my heart," this Whisper you can trust.

For you, I will hold on, my love is what you’ll find,
Take my hand? All in good time.

I have seen through your eyes, and now I know
It was fate that brought us together,
I Whisper to you "I have loved you forever"
