The unnamed emotion
by Alix
I am a rose, with prickly thorns surrounding my fragile petals.
Not allowing anyone inside,
Protecting myself from them.
Protecting my soul,
My heart.
I am a garden, trapped inside four stone walls with one door and no key.
The key is lost in a tangle of ivy,
And poisonous flowers.
And only one can get through.
I am a goddess, trapped inside a shell at the bottom of the ocean.
No man can reach,
No man can hear.
The cry of my heart,
The cry of my soul.
Only one can pick the rose.
Only one can find the key,
And only one can dive into the sea.
For my heart,
My soul…my everything.
