Poetry: Secret Love
Mary Jane, I'm Spider Man
by Peter Parker

I couldn't let you in on my secret.
You never acknowledged the danger we were in.
Why didn't it matter to you, Mary Jane
That we could lose our lives and maybe our very souls
To this love?
You searched for me in the shadows
I stopped in for a breath
But did not expect to witness
Our time warp mistake that you had to create.
Now it eats through me and I can no longer pretend.
I love you!!!
Are you happy now?
No more disguses.
I want to leave.
We are in danger.
I want to stay, perhaps I could have always had you this way.
But the things I never let you say, I'll let you say.
Just send the poems straight to me
And let's play no more games.
Mary Jane, I'll always be Peter Parker.
