worthy of pain
by Billie
Dearest girls I’ve shared your pain,
I know just how you feel.
You feel you’ve nothing left to gain,
From this feeling that’s so real.
But then one day he came to me,
To say he loved me first.
And we went off so happily,
To quench our needy thirst.
Everything around me changed,
And all I did was smile.
Until one day I felt this pain,
I’d hidden all the while.
That day I woke & looked around,
But I was all alone.
The love he thought he’d finally found,
Had driven him back home.
So now I’m only left with hate,
And the knowledge that I have.
In all I suffered, this new pain
I’d welcome yours back.
From your point all you can see,
Is how he cant see you.
But now from here I sit and see,
I wasn’t enough, are you?
