A Moon at Noon
by Paschal Amah
Ever since I met you Ifebuche dear
It has always been there
The space that your absence brings
?Tis always like there would never be
Anyway to get enough of you
And this is why I will ever be
Incomplete if you don?t be true
When you talk ?tis like the rose
And ?twas in my mind when I arose
When you smile it?s like those
Days that the sun never went up yea
When you caress my fingers it?s like
The touch of an angel up there
You wall me in like a dike
When I think of what we have together
There is seldom anything to gather
All that would come under
When we were together the day last
An event got the best of nature
The trees blushed at your beautiful face
It got all the birds scampering fast
Lest they miss this most lovely feature
Given to them out of grace
?Ts?y they hesitate not to join the race
Whenever you are with me
I know that there is really a blend
Between the tangible and the intangible
Your look into my eyes takes mean
And nutty thoughts to a bend
Where they remain very much unable
To make my little mind unstable
You touched my very heart
With your lovely dart
There is nothing sweeter than that
When you said you would come
